Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 September 2026

PreviewSVG("the app") is an application for macOS published by xfanta and distributed through the App Store. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs your license to use the app.

License

PreviewSVG is licensed, not sold. You get a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use the app on the Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms and the Apple EULA. The app and its source code are proprietary; you may not decompile, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the app except as allowed by applicable law or the EULA.

Your documents

You retain all rights to the files you open, export and optimize with PreviewSVG. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use those files. Exported PNG, PDF and DXF files, and optimized SVGs, are yours to use as you see fit.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Rendering, optimization and export are produced automatically and may differ from other SVG implementations; keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose, and verify exported files — DXF output in particular — before relying on them for fabrication.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xfanta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from the use of or inability to use the app.

Open-source components

PreviewSVG bundles the open-source optimizer SVGO, used under its MIT license. Its copyright notice ships with the app.
